Our Projects
We’ve completed hundreds of projects across our service region over the past three decades. Here are some of our highlights!
Wastewater Hauling for a Energy Services Provider
Challenge
A prominent workforce accommodations and energy services provider required a solution for removing wastewater from a large pipeline camp. The camp was in the process of constructing a septic field, but in the interim, there was an urgent need to manage the waste.
Solution
Over two years, our team efficiently managed the transportation of over 10 million liters of wastewater from the camp. We leveraged different truck and trailer combinations to optimize cost and meet the customer’s demands, facilitating unload locations throughout the project.
Outcome
Our flexible and responsive service ensured that the camp’s sanitation needs were met efficiently until their septic field was completed. This project highlighted our ability to provide large-scale waste management solutions tailored to the unique needs and constraints of our clients.
Hydrovac and Vac Truck Work for Oil/Water Separator Systems
Challenge
A large gold mine in northern British Columbia was facing compliance issues with their oil/water separator (OWS) systems, which had been neglected with no tracking, cleaning, or monitoring in place.
Solution
Our team engaged in a comprehensive evaluation of the mine’s systems at no charge, developing a strategic plan to address the issues. By selecting the appropriate equipment, we minimized trips and waste removal costs, providing an efficient and effective cleanup service.
Outcome
Within a week, the OWS systems were thoroughly cleaned, and all filters were removed for cleaning, all without incidents or spills. Our intervention not only brought the mine back into compliance but also established a long-term relationship, as we have continued to manage these systems for nearly 5 years, ensuring ongoing compliance and satisfaction.
Lagoon Cleanup with Long Reach Excavator
Challenge
The city of Prince George faced a significant challenge with one of their lagoons, which had accumulated years of septic waste, leading to reduced capacity due to solid buildup. The initial use of a standard-sized excavator (Link-Belt 160) proved ineffective, as its tracks were getting gummy, creating a mess and hindering progress.
Solution
To address this, our team transitioned to using a long-reach excavator equipped with a 65ft boom. This switch allowed for the efficient cleaning of the lagoon’s cell before the machinery had to enter the water, minimizing environmental disruption and maximizing the removal of accumulated solids.
Outcome
Over the course of two weeks, our team successfully cleaned out the lagoon, effectively restoring its capacity and extending its service life for years to come. This project for the city of Prince George not only resolved the immediate issue but also demonstrated our ability to adapt to challenges and deliver effective solutions in environmental management.
